MIRRIAM LUSAMBO

25 YEAR OLD YOUNG GRADUATE USES HER CREATIVITY TO OPEN DOORS TO A NEW FUTURE OF INNOVATION

‘ There’s no limitation in the world of creativity‘.
25 year old Mirriam Lusambo is a young graduate who studied Pharmacy from North-Caucasus Federal University Russia, During an interview with Girl Empowerment Alliance for change she narrates “I look at creativity as a gift and I refuse to waste a gift. Almost everything I look at in the house has value to me. Be it empty coffee tins or carton boxes. There is so much power in giving back value to seemingly valueless things.
I believe in not letting my ideas die there just naturally in my head. I always strive to make them tangible. Every time I look at something after making it; I feel proud, my heart becomes peaceful. I just whisper to myself like ‘oh yes, I brought this to reality.’ Besides the things I can make, I am eager to learn new things from other people. No ones knows it, we grow by learning each and everyday. From time to time, I get to see the importance of recycling, recreating. Away from decoration, it helps to reduce on pollution. From my observation, a lot of households burn down the things they don’t need so I take advantage of these and giving them a different name. Like I always say, I get my inspiration from my late dad who always taught us to give value to valueless things.
My encouragement to my ladies is that; never limit yourself with what you are capable of doing and never belittle your ability. Don’t allow your ideas to die, bring them to reality and you will be proud of yourself.
What brilliance, especially in this generation where environmental conservation is the goal. This is definitely the spirit and something to aspire for.
